The Startup Suite consists of
- 1.This is a revenue model for a B2B SaaS company, driven by a mixture of inbound and outbound leads. Use it to forecast your revenue, and understand what kind of sales funnel you need to hit your revenue targets.
- 2.This is a bottom-up headcount model, with a roster of your current employees and your planned hires. Use it to understand the breakdown of your headcount and payroll costs by Department (Sales, Engineering, etc.) and plan your future hires.
- 3.This is a summary model that takes the key outputs from the Revenue and Headcount models, adds important extra costs (operating expenses, cost of goods), and calculates key metrics like Cash, Runway, EBIT, Margin, and Burn Multiple (h/t David Sacks).
- 4.This is a standalone model that your employees and potential hires can use to understand the value of their compensation package under different exit scenarios for your company. It's a great way to provide context and transparency when presenting offers to job candidates.
